Set to take place just outside of Milan, Italy for three days in June, the “experimental and sustainable” Terraforma Festival boasts an intriguing line-up and an inventive approach to the festival experience. The first edition will take place in the woods of Villa Arconati (outside of Milan), and aims to “involve artists who experiment [with] new ways to reduce the distance between art and life.” Among the musicians, DJs, and producers slated to perform at the three-day event are Millie & Andrea (a.k.a. Andy Stott and Miles Whittaker of Demdike Stare), Voices from the Lake (a.k.a. Donato Dozzy and Neel, pictured above), Deadbeat (who will perform alongside Paul St. Hilaire), Bee Mask, Burnt Friedman, and Kompakt staple Thomas Fehlmann, among others. Furthermore, Terraforma says it seeks to “overcome the typical organizational methods used for events” and “reduce and optimize the use of resources” during its three days, aiming to keep the festival a sustainable endeavor.

The single-stage event will take place from June 6 to June 8, and plans to announce more acts as those dates draw nearer. Terraforma’s currently announced line-up can be found here, where additional information on the festival and its approach to sustainability can also be found.
