Pianist Nils Frahm has shared the video for “Re,” taken from his 2012 album Screws for Erased Tapes. The digital dreamscape, set to the Berlin-based composer’s deceptively simple piano arrangement, was directed by Balázs Simon, who said “Listening to ‘Re’ planted a story and a world in my head, so I decided to create a music video for it.” Posted below, the video traces the brief opening of an imagined, self-contained world.

Frahm (tapped by XLR8R as a Bubblin’ Up artist last year) most recently released his celebrated full-length Spaces, and dates for a crop of live appearances in North America this fall can be found here.
