Kim Ann Foxman has announced the launch of Firehouse, her own label established in partnership with London-based music and arts outpost The Vinyl Factory. In a press release, the former Hercules and Love Affair member and XLR8R podcast contributor says the endeavor was inspired by a move to an old Brooklyn firehouse earlier this year, where her studio is now based. “Firehouse will be superĀ­ dynamic, gorgeous, and weird,” she says. “I want to represent New York, represent its flavor, and be a part of the music history that it is so abundant here.”

Foxman will inaugurate the label later this month with “It’s All About You” b/w “Steal My Secrets,” two tracks she says result from an taking a more experimental, process-oriented approach to production. “It’s All About You” b/w “Steal My Secrets” arrives on November 24, and the single’s artwork is on view below.
