In recent years, Bristol producers Peverelist (pictured above) and Kowton (a recent XLR8R podcast contributor) have kept plenty busy with their Livity Sound imprint, issuing a range of solo singles, a collective LP, and the Livity Sound Remixes compilation, but the two have not put out collaborative material as Pev & Kowton since 2013. Today, the two artists have shared details of a new collaborative 12″, “Signal 3” b/w “Low Strobe<” which their label will release next month. So far, the duo has only shared snippets of the record’s two cuts—”Signal 3″ appears to assemble a delicate, yet punishing techno rhythm from stuttering synths, while “Low Strobe” rides slinky percussion as phased pads lap the stereo field. Until Pev & Kowton’s new 12″ drops on March 16, both tracks can be previewed via the player below. (via Resident Advisor)
