Holly Herndon has revealed the details of her forthcoming sophomore LP, Platform, which will see a joint release via 4AD/RVNG in May. Made up of 10 new songs, Platform is said to find the multifaceted vocalist/producer/electronic composer opening up her creative process to include collaborations with “vital artists and thinkers from Herndon’s creative circle, including radical Dutch design studio Metahaven and digital DIY artist Mat Dryhurst.” Furthermore, the LP is intended as a, well, platform to “underscore the need for new fantasies and strategic collective action… leading by example to tackle a host of topics ranging from systemic inequality, surveillance states, and neo-feudalism.”

Serving as the first taste of Herndon’s upcoming full-length effort (out on May 18) is “Interference,” the record’s scattered—but pristinely produced—lead track. The video for the LP’s first single can be watched below, where the full tracklist for Herndon’s forthcoming Platform LP has also been included (the record’s artwork is on view above).
