Fennesz and Jim O’Rourke have announced the release of a forthcoming collaborative full-length landing this summer via Editions Mego. Named It’s Hard For Me To Say I’m Sorry, the project marks the first time the duo collaborates in 14 years, having only previously collaborated as the Fenn O’Berg Trio alongside Editions Mego label-head, Peter Rehberg. As stated by the imprint, “the signature of both O’Rourke and Fennesz cohabit this new release with O’Rourke’s gurgling harmonies swimming amongst the shimmering frequencies and strummed melodies produced by Fennesz.” The album was recorded in Kobe, Japan in September 2015 and features two side long tracks described as a “warm electronic adventure.”
