Stroboscopic Artefacts, the Berlin-based imprint run by Italian musician Lucy, will host a two-track split EP by techno veterans Kangding Ray and Rrose, out later this month.

Stroboscopic Artefacts was launched in 2009, and has since put out a wealth of forward-thinking techno releases, with some of the genre’s biggest names. Following on from an EP by Perc earlier this year, Lucy has called upon two more heavyweights for a split EP.

On the A-side is David Letellier (a.k.a. Kangding Ray), a familiar face at the Berlin label. His contribution, “Ardent,” is described as “a gripping and propulsive piece formed in the same spirit as the songs from his latest full-length, Cory Arcane.” On the flipside is American producer Seth Joshua Horvitz (a.k.a. Rrrose), an artist mainly known for his releases on Sandwell District and his own imprint Eaux. His offering is “Swallows”—a noisy and experimental cut.

Ardent / Swallows is set for release on March 18, and can be pre-ordered from the Stroboscopic Artefacts store. Check out snippets below.
