Today, Bristol-based electro-acoustic band Jilk will release its latest EP, In Need Of Tess.

The beautifully composed six-track EP will land on Berlin label Project: Mooncircle, presenting a collection of emotionally resonate soundscapes and trippy dancefloor outings. Like with Jilk’s previous releases, which have landed on labels such as Bit Phalanx and How Does It Feel To Be Loved?, the tracks on In Need Of Tess are filled with textured found sounds, gorgeously decaying synths, and poignant vocals. A notable addition to the EP is “Nim” and “Nim” (Sit Down Outro), an orchestral two-part piece developed from a soundtrack Jilk produced for Nim Jethwa’s short film ‘A Little Bristol Film.’

In support of today’s release, Jilk has offered up a full stream of delicate EP cut “Be Heart,” which you can hear via the player above. You can also purchase In Need Of Tess by heading to Project: Mooncircle’s Bandcamp page.
