Detroit producer and DJ Kris Wadsworth‘s latest LP, Infiltrator, will land on Jimmy Edgar’s Ultramajic imprint on May 27.

Following on from a string of releases on Wadsworth’s own two imprints, Uranus and Breed, Infiltrator was made mostly with his Oberheim SEM Pro—a white metal synthesizer that Wadsworth refers to as the “White Devil”—and his beloved 606, 808 and 909 drum machines. The LP is filled with eight trippy sonic outings built from crunchy drums and warped synth lines that aim to document the now Berlin-based artist’s “personal path of self-discovery.” As a Detroit expat, the cuts on the LP tell a story of his days living “in Berlin and the bizarre impression of hearing an American car engine” and the homesickness that follows.
