To celebrate their upcoming 100th release, Parisian electronic label Ed Banger Records has joined forces with Danish headphone maker AIAIAI in a collaborative configuration of the TMA-2 Modular Headphone System.

Ed Banger Records was created in 2003 by Pedro Winter (a.k.a Busy P), and quickly became home to Justice, Sebastian, Mr. Oizo, and Feadz, among a host of other talented artists. The label draws on the street energy of hip-hop, the explosion of rock, and the hypnotic compression of techno music while remaining open to other influences.

The sound profile of the configuration has been developed by Ed Banger Records, in line with the label’s own preferences, and is recommended for “bass lovers and those who like their music loud.”

The new, reinforced PU leather headband with soft foam padding ensures a comfort- able t for long listening sessions. The configuration comes with a special edition Ed Banger protective pouch and is contained in Ed Banger-branded packaging, designed by the Ed Banger Records-affiliated designer SO-ME.

To explain how it came together, label-founder Busy P. tells this little tale:

“Years ago, Brodinski gave me a pair of the original TMA-1 headphones. I played with them and loved them right away. Dark, minimal and high quality… Not another headphone toy. Then Mr. Oizo stole them from me. He’s been playing with them ever since then. But this seemed like the perfect and natural opportunity for me to get my own again”.

The headphone comes in a limited edition of 300. Price: $230 / €230, and is available now.
