UK producer Forever will drop his sophomore EP, Hymn, on London-based Coyote Records on April 28.

Forever first popped up on Coyote back in 2015 with his remix of Last Japan’s “Harca,” which dropped via Coyote’s white label series and welcomed him into Coyote’s tight-knit community of affiliated producers. Outside of his Coyote affiliation, Forever is also a key creative member of Leicester-based label and collective Grade 10, which is where his debut EP, Coarse, dropped back in July of last year.

His latest effort, Hymn, was written over an extended period of time—the title track, for example, was produced a few years ago—and, across its four originals, presents Forever’s wide-reaching sound in stunning detail. Looking to every corner of his stylistic map, the EP evidently acts as Forever’s production calling card, from the film-like textures of opener, “Gweilo,” to the bass-heavy snarl of closing cut, “Swamped.”

Alongside the originals, Coyote label mate Chemist—also one-third of Planet Mu trio Silk Road Assassins—features on the EP with a remix of the title track, turning the cut into a chilling 808-driven affair.

Ahead of the April 28 release—which you can pre-order here—you can stream the ritualistic closing cut, “Swamped,” in full via the player below.
