For her latest remix, Berlin-based DJ and producer Ziúr has turned her hand to Fiordmoss‘ new single, “Motherland.”

Along with its accompanying video, which is directed by Teri Varhol, “Motherland” continues the dark and atmospheric journey of Fiordmoss’ previous single, “Madstone,” with haunting vocals and chest-thumping beats providing the perfect material for Ziúr’s imitable remix style. In typical fashion, Ziúr twists the original into a hybrid club weapon with an unsettling feeling. On her remix approach, Ziúr explains:

“Oh my a few words… I can tell u that, usually, I try and not listen to the original track before remixing it—I extract what inspires me from the stems and then plan on messing it up. This one especially turned out to be quite hyper and unsettling compared to the original track, which is very well structured.”

Later this month, Fiordmoss are launching a club night at ACUD, which focuses on artists dealing with the dark, twisted and sexy. You can find out more here.
