Two of Loefah's so-called "lost dubs" are due to see an official release via Berceuse Heroique next week. The South London DJ/producer and Swamp81 label chief has long been considered both a pioneer of dubstep and a major player in its evolution, but for whatever reason, two of his most covetable singles—"Midnight" and "Woman"—never saw an official release. (As FACT reports, Loefah claimed to have lost the .wav file for the widely popular "Midnight" track, and rumor had it that only two acetate versions existed.) Now, five years down the line, "Midnight" b/w "Woman" will be made available as a limited-edition vinyl run of 300 copies, with artwork and a poster by Trilogy Tapes' Will Bankhead. The single will become available via Honest Jon's and Idle Hands on December 10, and an unofficial version of "Midnight" can be streamed below.
