Delroy Edwards was recently enlisted to deliver a mix for Benji B‘s BBC Radio 1 show, and now, the set—mostly made up of old, unreleased tunes from Edwards himself—is available to hear in full. After a short phone interview with the radio host, Edwards gets to chopping together a quick and somewhat unpredictable run of tracks; everything from Madlib-style hip-hop instrumentals to slow-motion house and funk make an appearance. As the LA DJ/producer reveals in the interview, most of the tracks offered here come from his old tape archives, which explains the fine layer of hiss covering most of the 25-minute set. The man’s BBC mix can now be streamed in full via the player below, and for further listening, one can always revisit Edward’s excellent XLR8Rpodcast from last month—another effort chocked full of unreleaed tunes, mostly from the man’s recently launched LA Club Resource imprint.
