Dave Aju‘s latest EP, a four-tracker for Matthew Herbert‘s Accidental Jnr, will arrive on October 21.

The EP finds Aju in a tribalistic mood, fusing his off-kilter production with vocal chants and loose percussion. Aju’s three originals were inspired by three volcanic islands: La Reunion, Maui, and Bali—”Boom Yeah,” “Haleakala,” and “Badai,” respectively—and the percussive elements on each of the three tracks were also recorded using handmade instruments from the islands of origin.

Boom Yeah will arrive on 12″ vinyl and digitally, with a remix of the title track from Herbert, on October 21. You can stream EP cut “Badai” in full via the player below.
