After sharing the title track to its Crop Circles EP last month, the Mexico City pair of Rafa Caivano and Lisandro Sona (a.k.a. Frikstailers) are now offering its latest outing for Argentinean label ZZK as a free download.

Carrying the torch for Buenos Aires’ evolving digital cumbia scene (where the group formed before relocating to Mexico), the Frikstailers duo funnel Latin rhythms through webs of futuristic synths and otherworldly FX, resulting in adventurous hybrids that rarely take their eye off the dancefloor. On Crop Circles, the outfit begins in tropical ambience, before moving onto heavier affairs like the tribal title track, the electro-indebted “Kepler,” and the rattling “Venus.” Best yet, Frikstailers and ZZK have decided to give the full Crop Circles EP away for free. For those who like to taste before they click, Frikstailers new six-track affair is streaming below, while the full record can be grabbed from the ZZK website here.
