Caterina Barbieri will debut on Editions Mego with Ecstatic Computation in May. 

Ecstatic Computation is the Italian composer’s third album, following 2017’s Patterns of Consciousness via Important. Over six tracks, Barbieri explores both machine and human intelligence, memory and perception, inducing ecstasy and trance through complex, minimalistic, and psychedelic synth arpeggios. We’re told that the fast permutation of patterns creates a state where time stands still whilst simultaneously being in motion. 

Vocals on track four are performed by Annie Gårlid and Evelyn Saylor.
