Mule Musiq has shared a preview for a new single from Fred P. (a.k.a. Black Jazz Consortium), due out next week. A longtime force in New York City’s DJ circuit, Fred P.’s signature jazz-inflected, soulful house has seen releases on his own Soul People Music imprint as well as Underground Quality, Strength Music, The Corner, and Mule Musiq subdivision Mule Electronic. The man’s forthcoming “Distant Rain” b/w “Using Machines” 12″ follows this year’s Selectedcompilation, which saw the veteran producer/DJ launch his new Boards label with a collection of tracks from budding house artists.

Scheduled for an official release on May 26, both tracks from Fred P.’s upcoming 12″ for Mule Musiq can be previewed below.
