As part of the Red Bull Music Academy‘s festival taking place in New York throughout the month of May, over the weekend RBMA threw a block party in honor of Larry Levan on King Street—the Manhattan roadway for which a petition is currently circulating to have it co-named “Larry Levan Way.” Setting up shop outside the building which once housed Levan’s resident club, The Paradise Garage, longstanding Levan cohorts François K, David DePino, and Joey Llanos threw down five hours worth of music in honor of the pioneering DJ and producer.

Now, the entire set from RBMA’s Larry Levan Street Party can be streamed in full. Presenting a sumptuous mix of classic house, disco, and soul, the five-hour recording is heavy on good vibes with the occasional guest appearance, namely from Levan collaborator Jocelyn Brown who lends a live vocal to her classic “I’m Caught Up (In a One Night Love Affair)” cut. Split into two parts, the live recording of the Larry Levan Street Party can be streamed in full below.
