Lawrence English and Alessandro Cortini have today released a new LP, Immediate Horizon, via Important Records.

The LP was birthed following an invitation to collaborate together at this year’s Berlin Atonal, and is a live recording made at the premiere of the piece. According to the press release, the work “meditates on saturation and the ruptures that occur when harmonic elements are stacked.” Living in a dynamic middle ground between each of the artist’s styles, the music is beautifully dense, rich, and engrossing, placing focus on harmony and texture.

Immediate Horizon is available now and can be purchased here, with a preview of the LP streaming below.
