Brighton DJ/producer and Bubblin’ Up alumLeon Vynehall has seen his career on the incline in both 2012 and 2013, having already dropped the pleasing Rosalind EP and an XLR8R podcast for the year thus far. Smack in the middle of Vynehall’s crate-digging, historically minded mix for us was a hefty tune titled “Brother,” which is now set to see a release via Will Saul’s Aus label. The upcoming “Brother” b/w “Sister” 12″ adds on to what is becoming an impressive track record for the producer, who has made stops on George Fitzgerald’s ManMakeMusic label, in addition to two solid releases for Well Rounded. Leon Vynehall has also developed a keen ear for his sound, citing in a press release that he prefers “dance music that isn’t quantized, regimented, and super mixed down to the nano-perfect spot. I’m a believer in the fact that music doesn’t have to sound professional to sound great,” before coyly adding that “mastering engineers hate me.” Leon Vynehall’s new two-track single will be released on June 10.
