Next week will see New York producer Gunnar Haslam deliver his second full-length record for L.I.E.S., Mirrors and Copulation. Ahead of its release, the eight-track LP is now streaming in full exclusively via XLR8R.

The past two years have seen an active Haslam drop 12″s via Mister Saturday Night, Argot, Delsin, L.I.E.S.—who also issued the producer’s first full-length effort, the Mimesiak double-LP—with each release showcasing a slightly different side to tHaslam’s craft. On Mirrors and Copulation, the New York artist deals in the more enveloping and expansive ends of analog techno. At times angelic and bubbly, cavernous and even sinister at others, Haslam’s compositions cover a wide breadth of sonic ground here, with the record’s first half focusing on sprawling, beatless forays while, the LP’s final three efforts bury their spiraling tones beneath static-lined rhythms.

Officially out on November 17 via L.I.E.S., Gunnar Haslam’s forthcoming Mirrors and Copulation LP can be streamed in its entirety below.
