Next week, the folks at Hotflush Recordings will be releasing their latest slice of dubstep-not-dubstep, the debut single from George FitzGerald. It’s actually coming out on the Hotflush Two imprint, home to similarly genre-bending offerings from artists like Sigha, Untold, Pangea, and Joy Orbison, whose game-changing “Hyph Mngo” dropped on Hotflush Two last year. With their old-school rave synths, soulful vocal snippets, and mellowed-out techno vibe, these tracks from George FitzGerald are the closest things we’ve heard to “Hyph Mngo Part 2,” so it comes as little surprise that he is also slated to release future material on Joy Orbison’s own Doldrums label. In the meantime, we’ve got the exclusive streams of the present George FitzGerald release right here on XLR8R.com.
