Bay Area sound designer and tune maker Amon Tobin has been hard at work crafting his upcoming solo album and the next collaborative record from his Two Fingers project with Doubleclick, not to mention the “Fine Objects” single he just finished up with Eskmo and the short-film score he composed for The Gift. The guy has an epic list of production credits building, and now there’s something else to add to the mix. Back in 2009, Tobin rocked four turntables at Neumo’s up in Seattle, and in an uncharacteristic turn, recorded the set. Now, fans can trade in their email address to download the mix for free. There is no track list available, but apparently a preview of a new Two Fingers song is in the mix, along with “various selections ranging from the classic to the obscure, where ‘D&B, halfstep, dubstep, flip hop, and nextflap are all rendered meaningless in the pursuit of heavy, bass-driven music.'” Download the DJ set here.
