A new venue is set to open in London.

Printworks, a new 5,000-capacity venue, is located in Canada Water, South-East London. It is set to officially open its doors in January 2017 (though some film screenings have already been hosted there). The space consists of 15 acres of private land, with six separate events spaces. The building was once a newspaper printers, and it retains much of the same features from its original setup.

Currently the planning application for the temporary use of the Printworks as a culture, music and arts space is now under consideration by Southwark Council. All being well, events will kick off in early 2017.

According to Resident Advisor, the music program, which will be announced on December 1, is being overseen by local events organizers LWE (the team behind Junction 2 Festival).
