Following on from their announcement that Motor City Drum Ensemble, Laurent Garnier and Seth Troxler will all be curating daytime events at this year’s uiuits Sonores, the organizers have now released the details of “les nuits principales” (the three main nights, at Ancien Marché de gros).

On the event’s opening night, Dixon, Rødhåd and Horse Meat Disco will DJ, alongside live performances by Regis, Pantha Du Prince, Paula Temple, Peaches and Unforeseen Alliance (a supergroup of Antigone, Voiski, Birth of Frequency and Zadig) amongst others. On the second night, the organizers have opted for a slightly different format, with acts spread over fourteen different parties at different venues across Lyon, including the likes of Thomas Melchior, Jus Ed, Robert Owens, Ron Morelli, the Zenker Brothers and Terrence Parker.

For the final two nights of the festival, proceedings will be returned to Ancien Marché de gros. The penultimate night focuses mostly on live acts, hosting Moderat, Powell, James Holden & Camilo Tirado, J-Zbel and Auntie Flo. On the fourth and final night, Lil’ Louis and DJ Harvey will both DJ, as well as live techno performances by The Hacker and Max Cooper.

In addition to this, across all of these events, the hosts have “purposefully left the beaten track behind, instead focusing attention on the contemporary cultural scenes of Asia, Africa and the Middle East.”
