Australian experimental musician Ambarchi has close ties with Editions Mego, having already put a number of full-lengths via the Austrian imprint. For his next, he has recruited a host of contributors to help, which include Ricardo Villalobos (who provides "electronic rhythms") and Mark Fell , as well as long-term collaborator Jim O'Rourke, and Crys Cole, Will Guthrie, Arto Lindsay, Konrad Sprenger, Joe Talia, and Keith Fullerton Whitman. The record promises to further his involvement with "relentless, driving rhythms," this time taking inspiration from "disco and new wave" as a starting point.
Hubris is due out November 11. Pre-order it at Bandcamp.
