When Italian techno maestro Donato Dozzy released “Cassandra” via Claque Musique last year, it caused quite a stir: the track ended up on both XLR8R and RA‘s end of year lists, as well as selling out numerous vinyl runs. It presented a more laid-back and playful side to Dozzy, focusing intricate subtleties and crystal-clear synth work.

Tomorrow, the hype will be reignited with Cassandra Remixes, a package featuring reworks from Skudge, Fred P, and Jus-Ed. All three artists put their signature stamps on the track, while staying true to the original’s undeniable charm. True to form, Skudge up the tempo and strip things back for one of their rolling hybrids; Fred P works his percussive magic in a groove-led masterclass; and Jus-Ed stylishly injects his NY deep-house touch—three reworks as classy as the original.

Claque Musique will release the EP tomorrow and, in the meantime, you can stream Jus-Ed’s smooth-as-silk remix in full via the player above.
