After somewhat quietly delivering one of our favorite tracks and favorite releases of 2014, Session Victim appears early on in the new year with a new remix which will help kickstart the run of new the Splendor & Squalor imprint.

Billed as a vinyl-only house outpost, Splendor & Squalor's inaugural effort is set to arrive next week in the form a collaborative EP from label co-founders Brame and Hamo (both currently based in Berlin). Each producer offers up a solo track for the effort along with the collaborative "Clockwerk," which has also been placed in the hands of Session Victim, who stretch the track out to a groove-laden seven minutes filled to the brim with detailed layers of percussion, swimmingly soulful textures, and an appropriately low-slung bassline.

Session Victim's rework of "Clockwerk" can be streamed in full below before the Splendor & Squalor label's inaugural release lands on January 19.
