Next week, Bok Bok and L-Vis 1990‘s Night Slugs label will be releasing its third record, the I.R.L. EP from fellow London upstart Girl Unit, who, incidentally, is neither a girl nor a multi-person unit. In the meantime, the guys have been kind enough to offer an exclusive stream of three tracks from the EP, right here on XLR8R.com. The vinyl won’t be available until the EP drops on April 27, although Londoners might be able to finagle themselves a copy at the official release party this Thursday, where Girl Unit, Bok Bok, and L-Vis 1990 will be joined by Ikonika and R1 Ryders.

The XLR8R Music Player requires Adobe Flash Player version 9 or later. Click here to install.

UPDATE: As if the hype surrounding this record hadn’t already reached a fever pitch, Night Slugs has announced a contest offering the chance for some lucky vinyl enthusiast to score a 100% exclusive acetate dubplate of “IRL” backed with “Shade On.” Especially nerdy readers might enjoy this video of the dubplate being cut. To enter, just answer the question, “what does GIRL UNIT stand for?” Entries should be submitted to nightslugs@gmail.com.
