Real Gone Music will release a limited edition vinyl print of Dorothy Ashby and Frank Wess’ In A Minor Groove LP.

In a Minor Groove is one of two albums jazz harpist Ashby made in 1958 with saxophonist Wess, backed by fellow Detroit native Herman Wright on bass and the great Roy Haynes on drums. It first surfaced on the New Jazz label.

This will be the album’s first ever domestic vinyl reissue, and it comes from the original mono sources rather than the re-channeled stereo that showed up on previous reissues. It comes accompanied with the original album art and with Ira Gitler’s sleeve notes. Pressings are limited to 1000.
