Beloved UK label/radio station Rinse FM is celebrating its eighteenth birthday this month, and to mark the occasion, has launched a series of videos documenting its existence with profiles of some of its key players and stories from the annals of Rinse. The first installment in the documentary series the music hub is calling Vintage Rinse features the radio station’s boss, Geeneus. In his eight-minute monologue, the radio renegade describes the initial and primitive set up of Rinse FM, how the police attempted to shut it down, and ultimately how his and his crew’s determination to keep playing music kept the station running.
