Semibreve Festival has completed its lineup for the upcoming 2019 edition, taking place in Braga, Portugal between October 25 and 27.

Kode9 and Morton Subotnick, the iconic composer of electronic music best known for his 1967 composition “Silver Apples,” will both make their Semibreve debuts this year. They’ll be joined by Suzanne Ciani, Félicia Atkinson, and also Oren Ambarchi and Robert Aiki Aubrey Lowe, two of the most brilliant musicians operating in the exploratory electronic music domain nowadays, who will present the world premiere of their new duo collaboration. 

These new names join Alessandro Cortini, who is also set to debut; Avalon Emerson, the Berlin-based American; Deaf Center, who will present the Portuguese debut of their beautiful new record, Low Distance; Turkish electroacoustic composer Ipek Gorgun; and Nik Void, one half of the influential DFA duo Factory Floor, all of whom were announced in May. 

Also joining will be Rian Treanor, who will present a live set based on his new record, ATAXIA, and Scanner, who will perform a world premiere show commissioned by Semibreve. 

This edition will also see various workshops, talks, and exhibitions across the city.
