With loads of various EPs, singles, and remixes under his belt, the time has come for UK artist Shenoda to release his first full length EP, Labour, via the profoundly influential imprint Aus Music. Being both a classically trained musician and a DJ, whose talents remain in demand all over the world, Laurie Shenoda’s musical influences run the gamut but result in the output of some truly momentous sounding house and techno.
Each song featured on the 4-track EP varies in their stylistic agency, but all are definitively club worthy. From the vivid orchestral strings in “Sunbeam Bloodstream,” the frigid, droning synths of “Streak,” and the classic Chicago house chords in the title track, “Labour,” this is a release with an unseeming amount of reach.
