Crazy P co-founder James Baron (a.k.a. Ron Basejam) is set to drop his latest release, The Carrington Spirituals, via Futureboogie on August 12.

The two-track release is much of what you would expect from Baron and Futureboogie, namely high-quality feel-good funk. Both lead track “Time”—which features the vocal stylings of Vern—and “The Carrington Spirituals” have a delectable swing and rawness to their grooves, punctuated by chunky drums and loose instrumental work.

In support of the release, Baron has shared an equally funky Basejam mix. Spanning a wide spectrum of genres and textures, Basejam’s mix is a sun-soaked affair that will surely whet the appetite for the forthcoming single.

You can listen to the mix via the player above—also downloadable below—with clips of the single available to stream below.
