Cocktail d’Amore—the Berlin party founded by veteran DJ/production duo Discodromo, Berghain resident Boris, and visual director Pindar (a.k.a. GoldNSour)—today marks its fifth anniversary with the release of the 12-track Nothing Matters When We’re Dancing compilation; an album that is now available to stream in full.

Incorporating selections from Young Marco (whose Biology LP was selected as one of our favorite releases of 2014), Massimiliano Pagliara (in collaboration with Discodromo), Chymera, Heatsick, Lord of the Isles, and Willie Burns (appearing under his Black Deer alias), among others, the compilation aims to reflect “the variety of sounds our guests expect from the unique Cocktail experience,” says its founders, who in five years have transformed what began as a gay monthly “focused on bringing quality music into the alternative culture of Berlin” into a party which hosts an array of “open-minded freaks, queers, and more seeking a carefree atmosphere.” As such, the compilation covers a range of hardware-driven house and disco hybrids—often smeared with playful melodies and swirling textures—throughout the course of its 70-plus minute run.

Covering six sides of vinyl, Nothing Matters When We’re Dancing can be heard in its entirety via the player below.
