Longstanding Montreal producer Ghislain Poirier is an artist who has proven himself keen to and adept at jumping between genres and styles with each of his many efforts for labels like Ninja Tune and Chocolate Industries. His latest creation, a self-titled LP under new alias Boundary, continues in that lineage. As FACT reported when they premiered the stream of Boundary earlier today, Poirier's aim with the record was to "offer up IDM as it was initially designed." From the sound of the 13-track album, that means delivering productions from across a wide range of electronic subsections whilst shedding the hyperspeed chops and glitches normally associated with the IDM tag. Boundary is out now and can be streamed in full below. A one-off Boundary track called "Free Violence," which appeared on XLR8R well before the record's release, can be downloaded for free, here.
