As we reported last month, Untold (a.k.a. Jack Dunning) will inaugurate his new label venture, Hemlock Black, next week with the "Doff" b/w "Phive" single, and ahead of the record’s official release, a digital version has been uploaded for advance streaming. Established as an offshoot to his Hemlock outpost, the new imprint will reportedly serve as a platform for "futuristic physical club music," with Dunning himself setting the tone on its opening issue. Billed as "pneumatic drum workouts designed to interrogate the dance," both cuts highlight Dunning’s typically off-kilter drum programming and basslines, and nod to his early singles on R&S and Hessle.
"Doff" b/w "Phive" is out on January 19, and both tracks can be streamed in full via the player below.
