Throughout the week, a whole lot of material gets posted here on XLR8R. And while we know—and love—that some hardcore readers will eagerly pour over every single news story, interview, podcast, video, and MP3 download that appears on the site, we also realize that for most people, it's impossible to see everything, which means that some quality XLR8R content is likely to get missed in the hustle and bustle of everyone's daily lives. In the interest of making it easier for everyone to catch up, every Friday we present The Lowdown, a weekly wrap-up of the top 10 tidbits from our site.

1. The latest edition of Ask the Experts featured Mr. Oizo (pictured above), who answered a bevy of questions submitted by the XLR8R audience.

2. In recognition of the show's 15th anniversary, we put together an extensive oral history of Beats in Space, which included insights from host Tim Sweeney and a number of the characters that have featured prominently on the program throughout its run.

3. Jamie xx, Four Tet, John Talabot, and Koreless all contributed original pieces for the soundtrack to a new short film entitled Continuum. The piece can now be viewed online and all of the productions are available to be streamed and/or downloaded.

4. This week's XLR8R podcast was delivered by Berlin-based producer Shifted, who put together a special ambient mixtape for the occasion.

5. The latest Essential Mix was delivered by UK producer Jon Hopkins.

6. James Blake revealed an upcoming single for his 1-800-DINOSAUR label and shared a preview online.

7. Floating Points shared news of a new 12", Nuits Sonores, which will arrive next month via his Eglo label.

8. We inaugurated a new interview column, Jackie's House, which found Honey Soundsystem co-founder Jackie House taking on Panorama Bar resident Steffi during an unorthodox scuba-diving trip to the bottom of the Amstel River.

9. XLR8R premiered a stream of a track from UK producer Max Cooper's upcoming Kindred EP.

10. In conjunction with the release of his new LP, we put together a list of 10 things everyone should know about German producer Lawrence.
