Back in January, XLR8R spent a lot of time (and words) highlighting Barcelona’s electronic music scene, and new talents continue to emerge from the Spanish coastal city. In fairness, Sau Poler hails from Badalona, just outside of Barcelona, but his swirling, pop-infused electronic sounds are on par with those being created by producers who reside inside of Barcelona’s official city limits. Last year, he released A Soundless Echo, a six-track EP on Applescal‘s Atomnation imprint, and now, he’s commissioned a video for lead cut “Isolated.” The animated clip was put together by Joan Guasch, and steadily drifts through pastel-colored 3-D landscapes while Sau Poler’s twinkling tones soundtrack the journey. Although the video comes nearly a year after A Soundless Echo was first released, it provides a nice intro for those who missed the record the first time around (ourselves included). Sau Poler will be performing at this year’s Sónar, and the young artist has another EP in the works for later this year.
