Georgia’s Washed Out, one of chillwave’s earliest unwitting proponents, recently signed to veteran indie label Sub Pop, which will release his debut full-length, Within and Without. The nine-song LP follows producer Ernest Greene’s well-received EP for Mexican Summer, 2009’s Life of Leisure, as well as a handful of one-off singles. Washed Out recorded his album with Ben Allen, a co-producer on albums such as Deerhunter’s Halcyon Digest and Animal Collective’s Merriweather Post Pavillion, and will release it on July 12.
