Released today via Kompakt Records is the latest 12″ from electro-hound Jake Williams (aka Rex The Dog), titled You Are The Blade. When this voltaic veteran was first signed to Kompakt back in 2004, he initially kept his identity a secret while operating under his “Rex” persona. To this day, Williams stands by his loyal animated companion—a character which he draws himself. He and Rex continue to produce music with thick, simple 808s and high-powered modular synth arrangements that result in a heady, acid sound that is all their own.

Having gathered support from the likes of John Tejada, The Black Madonna, Nick Höppner, Busy P, and many more, it is safe to say that this one will be pumped out on dancefloors around the globe. You can watch the music video for the track “Musik Hypnotises” below.
